Frances Lea |

Director - Specializing in Ballet and Tap |
Frances is a native of Forth Worth, and a graduate of TCU with a BFA in Ballet/Theatre. She was
a featured dancer with the Fort Worth Ballet, the TCU Ballet, and the Fort Worth Opera Ballet.
Frances first appeared on Broadway in "No, No Nanette", dancing with Miss Ruby Keeler. Her next Broadway
show was "Irene", starring Debbie Reynolds. While in "Irene", she was dancing coach for Carrie Fisher
(of Star Wars). Frances understudied and performed with Ms. Reynolds in "Irene", repeated the role with
Jane Powell in California, then again with Ruta Lee at Casa Mañana. Frances has danced in
over 20 musicals at Casa Mañana, including "Oklahoma", "Sweet Charity", "Pippin", "Dames at Sea", and
as Eloise in "Best Little Whorehouse in Texas". She toured the dinner theatre circuit in 1977 as Agness
in "George M", and also appeared on the "Sonny and Cher Show" with Debbie Reynolds. Since
1980, Frances Lea has acquired a distinct reputation in the field of dance instruction. Frances is pleased
to be able to offer a complete program of dance education for children through adults with an outstanding staff,
each a specialist in their field of dance education.

Cheryl is a
beautiful and talented dancer well known at our
center for her excellent choreography and
teaching techniques. She has evolved into
our children and teen specialist. She
instructs all levels of Jazz, Tap, Ballet and
Clogging. She has been teaching classes at
the Frances Lea Dance Center for 16 years.

Tanika Henry |

Clogging Director - Specializing in Clogging
and Children's Classes |
Tanika has been dancing with the
Frances Lea Dance Center since the age of 2-1/2.
Over the years, her studies have included Tap,
Ballet, Jazz, Clogging, Hip-Hop and Tumbling.
As a dedicated student of FLDC, Tanika worked
her way up to Teacher's Assistant by the time
she was 10 years old. Assisting in classes such
as Children's Ballet and Tap, she earned the
privilege of teaching her own class at the age
of 13.
Dance competition awards include Winner of the
1997 and 1999 "I Love Dance" Regional
Competition, and Winner of the Top Soloist Dance
Division of the "Stairway to the Stars"
Competition. Tanika is also an award-winning
choreographer, creating and instructing dances
that have won numerous awards at competitions
such as, "I Love Dance", "Stairway to the
Stars", "Rainbow Dance", and many more.
Now in her mid 20's, Tanika's home is still
the Frances Lea Dance Center. She enjoys
teaching Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Hip-Hop, Clogging,
and Tumbling.
